Sharee Johnson
Professional Coach, Psychologist, Author, Meditation Teacher
Founder and Managing Director of Coaching for Doctors
MAPS BBSc Grad Dip App Psych Grad Dip HR
Doctors partner with me as their specialist psychologist coach to help them respond to the professional and personal dilemmas of a medical life. I have invested a decade learning how a psychologist coach can support doctors to be well and perform well for their own benefit and that of their patients. I work best with leading doctors and those who are invested in designing a better healthcare system.
I help doctors, (and sometimes leading nurses and other healthcare leaders too), craft a better life, one that comes from expanded thinking, raised awareness and a willingness to challenge existing assumptions. Coaching with me is high in trust, high in candor and action oriented.
In the candid, safe space of coaching we can restore hope, amplify skills, create more wellbeing and improve performance. As a psychologist I have made understanding people my life's work and bring a depth and breadth of psychological knowledge, honed over three decades, to the coaching process.
I have worked with doctors as their specialist coach since 2014, establishing Australia's first coaching practice dedicated to doctors. Your human skills are what deliver the art of medicine. These intra and interpersonal skills enable your optimal practice of the science of medicine.
Individual and group coaching with me can help you raise your capacity, skill, sustainability and wellbeing.

Finding the Right Coach
At Coaching for Doctors we are making it easier for doctors and leading healthcare professionals to find the right coach to help them develop.
Our coaches are experienced independent professionals.
Most of them are credentialed with the International Coaching Federation (ICF) or the Association for Coaching (AC), which means they have invested significant time, energy and money into learning how to be an effective coach.
You can feel confident that we have done the due diligence required to find a great coach for you. Our Coaches:
- have trained and been mentored specifically in the skills and competencies of coaching.
- understand the difference between coaching and mentoring, counselling, supervising, teaching and consulting.
- are diverse in their backgrounds and experience so you can find the right fit for your needs.
Choose a coach who is also a doctor or choose a coach who’s lived work experience is outside of medicine. There is merit in both choices.
Every coach we endorse meets our high standards of training, ongoing professional development, and experience.
Are you ready to meet your own high standards in your life?
