Can you believe it’s December again already?
The Thriving Doctor - How to be more balanced and fulfilled, working in medicine has been enthusiastically welcomed becoming an Amazon best-seller on pre-release, the day before it was available!
I am loving hearing all the stories of how people are using the book to improve their skills in wellbeing, performance, compassion and human connection.
The book is being read and talked about by hundreds of doctors all around the world and by lots of other healthcare workers and their families.

Booktopia and Amazon are shipping the book more quickly than their websites say. There is no delay from the publishers, printers or distributers. We can’t guarantee arrival times because we are not in control of all those things, however based on people’s recent experience you are likely to receive The Thriving Doctor within a fortnight. Recalibrate immersion Doctor program
We will welcome the next 10 doctors into Recalibrate in February. We have one place that has become available for anyone wishing to join us March - August, masterclasses for this program are one Saturday morning a month.
Our May Recalibrate program is filling up. This program will meet for Masterclasses on Wednesday afternoons (1:30pm - 5:30 pm once a month May - October). If you would like to join our signature program please make sure you complete the registration form soon, this is likely to be the last intake for 2022.
We were so so excited to hold our Recalibrate Alumni weekend retreat in real life, face-to-face in November in Healesville, after having to move online for just a few hours in 2020.The weekend went by too quickly.
After meeting monthly on zoom it was such a treat to feel the energy in the room, to make space for eleven doctors to spend time nourishing and caring for themselves and each other, after what has been a pretty brutal two years.

Insight Timer
I am very excited to have two meditations available now on Insight Timer!!
Insight Timer is a free App and well worth having on your phone if you are cultivating reflection and contemplation in your life.
Dr James Doty, Founder and Director of The Centre for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education has given me permission to record his Alphabet of the Heart practice. This is a beautiful meditation focusing on values based intention, connecting head and heart. It is a grounding practice that can help bring us back to what really matters, beginning with compassion and finishing with love. (12 mins). Listen to it here.
The second recording is a Mindful Meditation that includes gradually extended silences. (11mins). Listen here.

Christmas Break
As you know Andrea and I will be taking a proper break over Christmas to rest, restore and rejuvenate. We have had an incredible year serving doctors, healthcare professionals and schools.
We have been privileged and so pleased to partner with RANZCOG, ACRRM, Hush Foudation, Miga, Monash School of Rural Health, Albury Wodonga Health, Central Gippsland Health, Uniting Care and Potential Project this year.
We look forward to continuing this work of enabling a better healthcare system through partnerships with people who care in 2022.
Our office will be closed from 17 December to 17 January 2022. Sharee will respond to emails throughout this period once or twice a week.
We wish you love, laughs and lots of warm close interactions with the people you care about over the break. May you and yours be well!
